ABOUT US
The rescue is made up of 3 main groups. The committee, our network of foster carers / fundraisers and you, our supporters.
The committee is made up of a group of individuals from various parts of the country. We are there to handle the day to day running of the rescue ensuring that we have a clear and defined process that means we know exactly what is going on with a given hog while they are being cared for by the rescue.
We hold several shows throughout the year where hog minded people get together to help raise some money for the hogs, usually there are lots of different stalls selling a variety of goods. Many of the committee are also foster carers.
Our network of foster carers help look after animals on a short term basis while they are being assessed and rehomed. This can be anything from an overnight stay while arranging transport to a longer term home or for the duration of an animals stay with the rescue. Our fundraisers help by raising awareness of the rescue and generating funds to deal with transport costs, vet bills and any other treatments the animals may need before being able to be rehomed. If this sounds like something you might be interested in doing then please contact us if you are in a position to help!
And you! Simply by reading this you're helping, you've hopefully learned a bit about what we do, why we do it and can tell other people about it too. Without ongoing support we simply wouldn't be able to do what we do.
